Richard Sapper was born in Munich in 1932 and later moved to Milan. He initially collaborated with Gio Ponti and later with Rinascente. Alongside Marco Zanuso, he designed radios and televisions for Brionvega. He worked with major companies such as Alessi and taught at prestigious universities in Italy and abroad. Richard received numerous awards for his designs, many of which are part of the permanent collections of major museums internationally. In 2012, the President of Germany awarded him the Cross of Merit.
