The Amazonia collection by Villeroy & Boch unveils the richness of rainforests. Colorful butterflies, delicate hummingbirds, blooming passionflowers, and green leaves are motifs adorning the elegant porcelain crafted in the shapes of the Modern Grace series. Square plates and platters, as well as cups and mugs, have been enriched with subtle golden rims and golden decorations. The modern shapes of the vessels are accentuated by the noble, delicate Premium bone porcelain, ensuring the highest quality of the products. Thanks to the Amazonia collection, we have the opportunity for an extraordinary journey into the heart of the tropical forest, following the footsteps of the great nature explorer Alexander von Humboldt, the author of the illustrated atlas "The Temple of Flora," published in 1799. The illustrations contained in it became the inspiration for the exotic motifs adorning the Amazonia collection. The vessels in this series are made of Premium bone porcelain, making them highly resistant to mechanical damage and suitable for dishwasher cleaning. They are not suitable for use in the microwave. Premium bone porcelain is considered one of the most valuable delicate porcelains of the highest quality. Its production involves a complex process in which the addition of bone ash results in non-porous, shiny, white porcelain. This ingredient gives the porcelain special aesthetic properties: High degree of whiteness; Delicate shine; Extraordinary transparency, thinness, and lightness. Premium bone porcelain is highly resistant to mechanical damage and suitable for dishwasher cleaning.
