The history of Sanssouci dates back to 1894 when Karl Bayreuther designed one of the first services produced by the Rosenthal factory. The pattern on the porcelain was inspired by the richly decorated Rococo-style interiors of the Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam and its surrounding gardens. Today, the most popular design is Sanssouci White, known for its exceptional lightness and characteristic shade of white.
