Jasper is the most famous invention of Josiah Wedgwood, created in 1774. The porcelain is made from a mixture of kaolin clay with feldspar and quartz by firing the shaped products. The unglazed product is created in blue, green, pink, yellow, black, gray, or white.
On these biscuit, subtly colored surfaces, classical and contemporary bas-reliefs are applied, which to this day are made from molds recreated from the originals.
