The Alessi Sbriciola cutting board is an incredibly functional design by Anna and Gian Franco Gasparini.
The board, measuring 42x27cm, is designed in such a way that the crumbs produced during slicing fall directly through narrow slots into a tray. The board is equipped with rubber feet for grip and stability, and the bamboo wood offers excellent hygienic durability. The tray is divided into two parts, with the smaller one intended for a bread knife, while the remaining part, under the slots, collects falling crumbs, peels, or juices from vegetables and fruits.
The large surface allows for easy cutting of food items, providing great convenience during meal preparation.
Anna and Gian Franco Gasparini are graduates of architecture in Florence. In 2002, they founded the company Architecture of Communication, which deals with design and related communication processes. Their recent projects include the Langhe Museum in Grinzane Cavour Castle, corporate identity design for the Crèdit Agricole branch network, and advisory services for various companies.
